- Saturday-Sunday: Moon in the sign of Scorpio- Plant seasonal color
Later in the Week
- Thursday-Friday: Moon in the sign of Capricorn -Prune and fertilize
- It is commonly not considered a fall activity, but pruning deciduous fruit trees is now being recommended. Peach, Plums, Apricots, Cherries, Nectarines can be pruned in the fall.
Other Things To-do
- When planting trees, avoid planting on a fence line. With half the tree on your side and the other half on a neighbor's, you can avoid neighbor disputes in future years. For fall color, consider planting Raywood Ash, Liquidambar, or Red Maples.
- And finally, we still have a few more warm days ahead of us so keep container plants watered daily when the temperatures are over 90 degrees.
