- Saturday-Tuesday: Moon in the sign of Virgo —
- A fall application of a Copper Fungicide Spray is critical in controlling Peach Leaf Curl and 'Shot-Hole' Fungus on Plums, Peaches, and Nectarines. It is applied when fifty percent of the leaves have fallen off the trees or around Thanksgiving. The 'Rainy Season' has begun. so you need a four-day window of dry days.
Later in the Week
- Gather and bag the fallen leaves while if they are still dry to use in my compost pile next summer. The leaves are an excellent component to mix with grass clippings.
Other Things To-do
- GreenAll True Blue is applied to Blueberries and shade-loving plants to make the soil more acidic by lowering the soil pH. It is evenly spread and mixed into the soil. It's also applied to Hydrangeas to turn them blue or to maintain a blue color. You should follow the instructions on the packaging for repeat applications.
- Finally, replace any broken splash blocks or those that have disappeared and clean out your gutters before the rainy season begins.
