• Lunar Phase: New Moon, Sunday, June 14
•  Saturday-Sunday
  • Bonide Wilt Stop is an effective solution for preventing leaf scorch 0n Japanese Maples. It’s best applied in the morning before a heatwave begins. Wilt Stop forms a protective layer on the leaves, enhancing their ability to retain moisture during periods of elevated temperatures. The application can be repeated monthly until August.

Later in the Week

  • The Budworm & Hornworm Season has commenced with Geraniums, Petunias and Tomatoes the most susceptible hosts. Regular inspection of your plants is imperative, and applying Captain Jack Deadbug Brew is effective for controlling the green worms.

Other Things To-do

• When removing spent flowers from rose plants, it is essential to loosen the metal name tag located near the base of the plant. This is crucial because the tag(s) are often left unattended, leading to eventual girdling of the stem and eventual death. 
•  Refresh your snail and slug protection by adding some additional bait. This should be a monthly task, as it can be a year-round problem, especially in areas that stay damp during the summer months.
