Gardening by the Moon Weekend To-Do
An idea as old as agriculture, based both folklore and superstition but there are scientific ideas to back it up.
- Saturday-Monday: Moon in the sign of Taurus - Plant Seasonal color
- Cyclamen, Primroses, and Pansies are available for planting. The selection increases in the upcoming weeks.
Later in the Week
- When pruning roses, don't be concerned if you find no new buds or breaks along the main canes. Instead, pick a point and prune. In four to six weeks, come back and finish the job as the new buds will be visible.
Other Things To-do
- Onion, garlic, and shallot sets are available for planting. Planted in January they're harvested in mid-summer.
